Should we now focus on what really matter and let AI just be?
There’s a thing going on…, some days ago Anthropic released Fable 5, the “public ready” version of mythos, their best AI model yet, but yesterday the United States govern ask anthropic to make it unavailable as it is too powerful to be on the public hands…
I didn’t get to try it because I was being careful with my credits as I have a lot of projects to do and only one pro account, but I did saw on social media some of the things that were done using fable, nothings out of this world, just a big improvement over Opus 4.8.
But this got me thinking…, US government getting this out of the hands of the public and, this isn’t even the full power model, the real one is mythos, so, they were scared of some person doing something bad with the model that was not the better of anthropic… So what they already have is even better, and what with all of this…?
Well, I am not worried about someone doing something bad, or things like that (its a risk yeah), is just that AI is more capable than all we think it really is, what this means is that if there are 2 Developers with the same knowledge but one has access to a better model he or she would be instantly better no matter what, and this will increase over time, so whats the matter on improving or focusing on “learn to use better the AI”? At this rhythm we are getting super fast to a moment where what only matters is creativity, good ideas, persons that have live their life and had experiences, experiences that makes them creative and interesting minds to create, and those persons aren’t the ones that are right now expending his or her time employed using AI to make his work faster or easier, those persons are the ones that are living, learning things that would not be replaced by AI or even if they get replaced It won’t matter because they are things that make us feel well.
I am talking about art, so those persons in my opinion will be the real important brains of the future, because we will have a way of so easily create anything software wise, that what we only need is a good idea and the money to have the AI if it isn’t free yet, so, shouldn’t we be focusing on living our life, experimenting, getting out of our comfort zone, reading, drawing, falling, living… Or should we be paying the latest model from OpenAI or Anthropic so that we create faster an easier software that will in the future be created 100% by the AI?…
(I know this could be better structured or redacted, but I prefer not to pass it through an AI and just post what came out of my mind in the moment, I will improve at this over time ;D)
