How unique we are with the power of statistics…
I was just about to go to sleep when a question came to my mind, how much people in the world works on the IT industry, more exactly how much people know what the cloud actually is and how it works, or knows the pretty basics of programming. I was asking this to the air as I just realized how normalized we as tech workers have this on our mind that we some times forget we are a little niche in the world.
So I just started to wondering how much can I narrow this number so my next question was, from all the people who work on IT how many of them can run a 10k comfortably, and the number got narrowed, and then I asked how many of that new group of people can do a muscle up, and stream on twitch, and have piercings and I keep getting ways of narrowing more and more this number and eventually I hit an interesting answer, I got to the point where the number was less than 1 person in the universe…
So less than one person in the universe can be as unique as I am, so that’s the way of statistics of saying we are truly unique, each of us are truly unique, so unique that the probability of someone like us existing is almost impossible…
This helped me remember how special each of us as human beings are, and that we should be proud of all the things that makes us unique, and should not be hiding it to the world but letting them shine and be proud of them because thanks to those things you are who you are and the universe is saying its impossible for someone like you to exists so be proud of yourself and show the world who you are, :D.
